Abstract :
The structure of matching network and the essence of tuning algorithm in antenna tuner are introduced, and the heuristic algorithm called neighbor searching algorithm is proposed to solve the NP-Hard problem. Then the iteration steps of neighbor searching algorithm with variable step size is described in detail which are applied to antenna tuner, and the algorithm is improved by the relations among the values of the component group, so the searching space is reduced and tuning speed is accelerated. At last the tuning algorithm is simulated with a 2.4m tactical HF-VHF whip antenna and the validity of algorithm is vertified. The performances of the tuning algorithm in different frequency band are analyzed.
