Abstract
A unidirectional backfire array is realized when the summation of each amplitude coefficient is zero and its phase difference corresponds to the distance from the first element. This array has a nonsidelobe pattern when the array width is less than or equal to the quarter-wave length. The relation between the backfire array pattern configuration and the curvature-radius at the mainlobe direction is discussed.<>
