Abstract :
A contoured-beam synthesis procedure for a multiple-feed antenna is presented. In this procedure the optimization algorithm operates on the beam-forming network (BFN) component values in order to maximize the level in the desired farfield region. A database containing S-parameter information about Ku- and Ka-band components is included in the synthesis procedure. Hence, the optimization is carried out taking the frequency behaviour and the imperfections of the BFN components into account.<>
