Abstract :
In this contribution game theory concepts are applied to the decentralized power control problem in a WCDMA wireless data system. We propose a new distributed power control algorithm which is derived from the formulation of the power control problem as a static multi-stage nonzero-sum noncooperative game. It performs the choice of a suitable operation point, improving the overall system performance in an energy efficient manner
