Abstract
The details of a diplexing antenna design are presented. The device principle is given, and the loss budget is reduced by choosing the frequency bandwidth of the radiators. It is shown that, when designing a diplexing antenna for close reception/transmission bands, the antenna voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) has an indirect impact on the loss budget. Multipole antennas are well suited to achieve an efficient diplexing device, but their design must include all interactions between components.<>
