Abstract :
The results of rain attenuation measurements at 30 GHz are presented and compared to data given by the ITU-R for the same frequency. The experiment took place in Quebec city and shows that the ITU-R is overestimating the mean attenuation by 20%. The measurement technique and signal processing method are discussed.
