Abstract :
The RFID technology is one of the most quickly developing technologies of the present time. There are various applications of wireless identifiers and they are used in many fields of security as well as industrial applications. One of the limiting criteria is the price of the final transponder (tag) which includes the price of the chip and the antenna. If we implement the antenna directly on the chip the resulting price can be decreased by up to dozens of percents. Although the dimensions of antenna structures directly correspond to the wavelength for which they are intended it proves to be prospective to increase the carrier frequency for the communication with the RFID transponder. This article shows that the production of an RFID transponder with an integrated antenna (OCA - onchip antenna) in the X-band represents a realistic developmental assignment.
