Abstract
The frequency and time domain analysis are presented for SCAPP (symbolic circuit analysis program without partitioning), which enables the symbolic simulator to perform DC, AC, and transient analysis on large-scale circuits. Frequency response computation is achieved by evaluating the sequence of expressions generated by SCAPP for a range of frequency values (s =jw ). Time-domain values are calculated through frequency-domain techniques. The input signal is transformed into the frequency domain and these values are multiplied by the frequency response values. This result is inverse-transformed to yield time values. The SCAPP software package provides a user interface shell that allows both frequency response and time response analyses to be controlled interactively and the data to be viewed graphically
