Abstract :
Exact expressions have been obtained for the leading terms in the low-frequency expansions of the far fields scattered from three different types of two-dimensional perfect conductors: a cylinder with finite cross section, a cylindrical bump on an infinite ground plane, and a cylindrical dent in an infinite ground plane. By inserting the low-frequency expansions of the incident fields and Green´s functions into exact integral equations for the surface current, integral equations are obtained for the leading terms in the low-frequency expansions of the surface currents. The leading terms of the scattered fields are obtained from simple integrations of these expansions for the currents.<>
