Abstract :
The infinite large variation in shape, orientation, and size of handprinted characters resulting from writing habits is a problem when a machine is required to recognize handwritten characters. The authors describe a recognition method to recognise handprinted characters by classifying the topological feature of a character´s profile. Character recognition is the most difficult aspect in the design of Text-to-Speech systems using input-documents
