Abstract :
A highly convergent and accurate 3-D model for solving general coplanar waveguide (CPW) circuits is developed. This model uses the duality principle to convert the coplanar waveguide problem into two coupled strips problems for which a simple solution is easily obtained. To verify the accuracy of this model, the effective dielectric constant and characteristic impedance of the CPW are calculated and compared to available 2-D results. Very good agreement is obtained.<>
