  • Abstract
    A double gate structure ZnO Field Emission Display (ZnO-FED) is proposed. In this kind of structure, a planar gate electrode is printed onto the cathode plate, it is used to modulate the conductive current from the ZnO emitters; a mesh grid with MgO layer is placed above the cathode plate and as the other gate electrode. Compare to the normal planar triode structure ZnO-FED, the focus performance of this kind of double gate structure is improved apparently. Simulation results show that the electron trajectories have been focalized, and the experimental results show the improvement of light spots of the ZnO-FED.
