Abstract :
The options for multiband printed antennas are briefly reviewed together with a summary of the window concept and interference suppression technique. As an example of some of the planar multi-function designs that are now possible they describe a novel octave dual-band element with integral selective interference suppression. Possible ways of developing these techniques to create multi-function apertures are conjectured
