Abstract
NEC Microwave Tube, Ltd.(NEMT) has been developed the new DBS bands (17.3 to 18.4 GHz) high power TWT for satellite uplink applications. This DBS band TWT is applied the technology of high power conduction cooled TWTs grown in C band and Ku band. As the features, these TWTs have realized high efficiency (low power consumption) by use of dual stage depressed collector, as well as get a substantial small and lightweight compared with the conventional forced air cooling TWT. Now we confirmed stable operation at CW output power of 750 W, this paper describes development outline and performances of 750 W TWT.
