Abstract
Institutions make an impact on society basically through the product they produce. One of the most important and least expensive of these products is EDUCATION, its benefits as a commodity is priceless to people whose concern is with the Economics and Energy of our Environment. The University of the District of Columbia, Van Ness Campus (formerly Washington Technical Institute) received Sea Grant funds of $208,000 from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Department of Commerce, between 1972 and 1974 to develop a Marine Science Technology Program. This paper details that program.
