Abstract
A novel autostereoscopic display capable of real-time computer interaction, and refresh rate fast enough for stereoscopic television has been built at Cambridge University, in a joint programme of the Department of Engineering and Computer, Laboratory. The authors discuss the display, the dynamic lens principle and 3D display assembly, image generation, view angles, picture rates, slot shutter, CRT phosphor, drive signals, viewing distance, image depth, image resolution and picture distortion
