Abstract :
Time-domain electromagnetic field solvers are invaluable tools for engineering education. This paper presents a sequence of MEFiSTo-3D NOVA numerical experiments that illustrates the fundamental of electromagnetic field theory as well as the unusual behaviour of metamaterial. The software package is free hence educators may freely adopt it in their course to stimulate active learning of electromagnetic theory via virtual electromagnetic experiments.
