Abstract
The paper purpose is to present the existence and appearance of the self-modulation, in nonlinear systems that present the resonant jumps phenomenon and are described by Duffing-type equations. The conditions necessary for jump producing and for self-modulation appearance are emphasized. In order to confirm the theoretical considerations, some numerical simulations are presented.
