Abstract :
In this paper, we present our experience of testing wireless embedded software. We used a wireless metering system in operation, and its software as a case study to demonstrate how a property-based testing technique, called metamorphic testing, can be used in detecting software failures of this wireless embedded system. Our study shows that a careful design of test environments and selection of system properties will enable us to trace back the cause of failures and help in fault diagnosis and debugging.
