Abstract :
Final design and fabrication are in progress on a 350 MHz, 200 kW CW, multiple beam, inductive output tube (IOT). The device includes seven electron guns in a circular array. A single input cavity drives the fields for all seven electron guns. RF power is generated in a single output cavity. The device is predicted to achieve approximately 70% efficiency with 22 dB gain.
