Abstract
An annular slot aperture coupled microstrip antenna (ASCMSA) was previously proposed for mobile-satellite communication use. Two major advantages of an ASCMSA are demonstrated. First, it is confirmed that by using the annular slot parameter, two resonant frequencies of an ASCMSA can be independently designed with good impedance matching. Secondly, an ASCMSA with a thin structure showed excellent antenna performances for circularly polarized radiation at the two resonant frequencies.<>
