The essence of Toyota system in system theory

From the systems theory as a starting point, This article accurately based on the results of prior studies, and explored the essence of the Toyota system. Among the literature, researchers enrich content of the Toyota production system theory in the field of knowledge, but from the viewpoint of the whole system, literatures of Toyota system are slightly less. From the manufacturing system (including the development of subsystems, production subsystem, and supply subsystem etc.) as focus this paper analyzes the elements of the Toyota system (subsystem) and the relationship between the elements, at the same time describes the evolution of the Toyota System and their competitiveness, in order to put forward the essence of the Toyota system.
