Abstract :
A method for designing a multivariable servomechanism by sliding mode control is proposed. This servomechanism, which is called the variable structure servomechanism, preserves robustness to parameter variations, disturbances, and nonlinearity. In order to illustrate the effectiveness of the servomechanisms, simulation results of controlling a two-link manipulator are given
