Abstract :
The NEAX61 regression tester, a user-friendly work-station-based tool designed to create and execute test procedures, is described. It also collects and analyzes test results. The NEAX61 regression tester requires only a subsystem, rather than a complete NEAX61 switching system, to execute regression tests. Use of the NEAX61 regression tester allows a very large number of regression tests to be performed, resulting in more accurate, more efficient, and more economical testing. By having the regression tester automatically executing tests, it is possible to reduce manhours and ensure test objectivity, thus helping to maintain quality electronic switching system software
