Abstract :
A phased-array using T/R (transmit/receive) modules with gain on transmit and receive requires new antenna measurement techniques and data interpretation. On transmit the affected parameters include antenna aperture gain, antenna electronic gain, array effective radiated power, array power output, T/R module gain, and power output. On receive they include similar parameters, and array and T/R module noise figures. These measurement techniques have been developed during the testing of a linear array aperture with 64 microstrip patch radiators, flush mounted, conformal to a cylindrical surface. The measurement techniques as described in detail.<>
