Abstract :
Describes a computer-aided design package developed for the tuning of industrial PID controllers. Rapid high resolution graphic interactions between engineer and the computer is provided throughout the design process. To achieve maximum effectiveness, the man-machine interface adopted for input/output is close to that normally used by control engineers. Time delay property of the process can also be included in the control loop for consideration. Numerical methods are employed to determine the characteristics of the process from the specified block diagram
