Presents a heuristic technique for loading and scheduling operations in FMS with the aim of minimizing the completion time of the production targets. The problem considered is precisely outlined. The heuristic solution is discussed, the loading and scheduling algorithm provided, and the worst case time complexity of the algorithm analysed in the paper
