Abstract :
Three methods of solution for a type of nonlinear matrix equation are presented. The importance of directly solving such a type of equation is particularly emphasized in model approximation theory. The methods are compared both in terms of computational efforts and as regards their accuracy. The accuracy considerations are made by discussing some simulated examples
