Abstract :
A 2.5-D electromagnetic particle-in-cell (PIC) simulation code has been used to study the nonlinear beam-wave interaction of a helix traveling-wave tube (TWT). The simulation model is developed with the PIC code MAGIC. The nonlinear process is simulated and analyzed. The simulation results meet the measurements very well, including the output power and gain.
