Abstract :
The variations of phase velocity and coupling impedance under an attenuator of a traveling-wave tube (TWT) are investigated. It is shown, that they reduce, and the coupling impedance is not recovered by increase of a slow-wave structure (SWS) period, that reduces TWT efficiency.
