Abstract
Chaos research is the industry´s hot. This article analyzes the current possible applications of chaos in sonar detection. Two methods are proved the feasibility in sonar detection: using Holmes-type Duffing oscillator for simulation of weak signal detection on account of Chaotic sensitivity to initial conditions; to detect the transient signal according to the sudden changes of prediction error in chaotic background. New ways are provided to improve the abilities of sonar detection and target identification.
