Abstract
Launching a new e-commerce product in the market and becoming successful is almost impossible since it requires lot of investment not only in marketing the product but also implementing the product. Before taking the risk of investment, it is better to survey the other e-commerce products and consumers requirement and implement a prototype rapidly. Once the prototype is done, we can decide to-go or not-to-go for it. This paper presents an approach of coming up with a new commerce product. It also shows how to position the product in the market. It also shows an effective way to implement a prototype using XML, HTML and JavaScript. This paper takes an example and shows all the steps including prototype implementation. The prototype implementation took only two days. The author also shares his experience, which will help others to develop any e-commerce product rapidly and go for to-go/not-to go decision. This will save millions of dollar of investment. This paper describes both business and technical aspects of a novel approach for new e-commerce product positioning and to-go/not-to go with rapid prototyping experience.
