Abstract :
Software quality studies are now undertaken at the CNET in Lannion; these studies are part of a larger project which deals with the software validation (ARAVIS´ project). The main aim of this project is to determine a list of elementary factors of software quality which would be measurable and significant. CNET use a database which is fed by tools and questionnaires dealing with the way in which the software has been developed. This base is then studied by the different teams which evaluate the quality of a software (complexity, reliability), and look for correlations between the data. They have thus established an observatory knowing that in order to take into account other information, it will have to be further developed, particularly in the domain of automatic handling of data (failures management, modifications management, project management, . . .)
