Abstract
Engineering graphics course is one of the specialized core courses for the major "civil construction". However, it is difficult for freshmen, as it is comparatively logical and needs professional knowledge, that caused some students were not interested in it. So some teaching methods for engaging students are very important and essential in instructional activities. The article summarized some problems which existed in teaching process. And a series of teaching methods were proposed for improving the teaching quality and teaching effect. As a result, the methods to enrich teaching contents were effective for engaging students.
