  • Abstract
Wrie electrochemical micromachining (WEMM) is an electrochemical dissolution micro process using a micro wire electrode. The process can remove electrically conductive materials with the transferring of ions, so that high precision is achievable. The short-circuit worsened the machining stability. The two types of short-circuit in WEMM: clogging short-circuit and unavoidable short-circuit was analyzed, and the gap status in WEMM was identificated. The method of punitive function was used to optimize the velocity of feed forward, and the strategy of servo-control system were designed. The experiment shows that the method of gap control can improve the mahining stability.
