Abstract
Simulations of continuous-time systems are often useful to designers of signal processing and communication systems. Windowedfinile impulse response models are often used in these simulations to model continuous-rime linearfilters. We investigate the optitnum design of the windows to obtain good waveform fidelity, which is of interest in simulation. Our results indicate that many commonly used windows can perform poorly its this regard.
