Abstract :
To promote students´ learning interest and improve teaching effect, this paper establishes a virtual teaching platform of digital design and manufacturing for teaching reform of numerical control (NC) specialty. Based on analyzing the problems existing in current major teaching with traditional teaching method, the significance of adopting virtual teaching platform is illuminated firstly. Then the detailed examples, related to virtual design, engineering analysis, process simulation and virtual machining, are used to illustrate the specific application of the virtual teaching platform in innovative teaching for NC specialty courses. Teaching practice shows that, the virtual teaching platform is a powerful tool for teaching innovation, thus it is worth generalizing in teaching application.
