With the gradual deepening of the university physical education reform and the promotion of computer-aided physical education, the dominant position of the learners in the learning process is becoming more and more prominent; the way of autonomous learning is gradually becoming an important mode of learning in university physical education. Through the connotation, nature, the strategies of autonomous learning implementation, together with the analysis of the management of autonomous learning mode, we are hoping to enable learners to grasp technical movements rapidly so as to improve the quality and the efficiency of the university of physical education. Autonomous learning is one of the essential targets for educating students in the field of modern education. Physical education is a bilateral activity with high practicality, the traditional methodology teaches students knowledge and technique through explanation and demonstration. For this reason, it is necessary to change the original unilateral passive way of learning and establish and form diversified learning mode aiming at fully mobilizing and exerting students´ dominant role, as well as promote student´ active and personalized learning and under the guidance of teachers. Therefore, the study and guidance as well as training towards autonomous learning should be an important part of university physical education. The ideal teaching of university physical education can enhance students´ initiative and collaboration; and gradually bring about the transfor- ation of the teaching way of presenting the content, mode of learning and teacher-student interaction. Also it can make full use of information technological advantages to provide enriched educational resources and good venues for the students, as well as good guidance for students´ life-long physical exercise.
