  • Abstract
    In this paper, we study the novel sheet electron beam gun by using CST simulation. We can find that the rectangular sheet electron beam gun can easily generate the rectangular sheet electron beam, its electrode shape and cathode focusing electrode angle have obvious influences on the performances of the rectangular sheet electron beam, such as its height and current density. The simulation results can offer a basis for designing a sheet electron beam gun which can be used in the high-power millimeter wave sources, such as traveling wave tubes.
