Abstract :
Based on the experimental analysis, the composition design and strengthening mechanism of the Nb microalloying rebar was mainly researched, then the effect of micro Nb on the microstructure and mechanical properties of carbon steels was discussed. The results have been shown that: The grain size could become smaller by Nb microalloying, therefore the strength and plasticity improved evidently , and the microstructure is composed of ferrite and pearlite. The micro Nb in steel could not only improve the mechanical properties but also reduce the cost. There are some practical value in environment protection and resources. The results of this experiment will have a greater role in guiding the actual production.
