Abstract :
This paper describes high speed (16 GHz) DFB lasers integrated with electroabsorption modulators (EA-DFB lasers) having negative chirp characteristics. The EA-DFB laser exhibited negative-chirp at zero bias voltage by optimizing κL products and large electrical isolation resistance
