Abstract :
The scattering from structures of n bodies having the same shape, made from the same material, and periodically placed round an axis is investigated. It is shown that, for any incident field, the equation describing the scattering can be decomposed into n uncoupled equations. In terms of- a moment method solution, this corresponds to transforming the equation into a matrix equation of the form Ax=b, where A is partitioned into n diagonal blocks.<>
