Abstract
The article analyzes the relation between system voltage level and reactive power balance in detail. It presents that the reactive power demand of load is mainly balanced by grid capacitive reactive power in light flow for modern power systems. The authors analyze the different effect on system voltage level and reactive power balance between single generator leading power factor operation and many generators leading power factor operation. The viewpoint and thought is verified through the practical power system of Hubei Province
