Abstract :
This paper uses three-dimensional design software PRO/E to create the model of the sliding column, and then carries on static analysis and modal analysis for the sliding column, which includes the ribs or not, in the ANSYS software. The deformations, the vibration frequencies and the amplitudes of the sliding column model in two states are obtained. By comparison of these results in two states, the theoretical basis how the ribs strengthen the sliding column are generalized.
