Abstract
The problem of diffraction by a sinusoidal grating of finite width is discussed and the high-frequency scattered field is derived on the basis of results obtained by the author (1989) for the case where the width of the grating is large compared to the wavelength. The Wiener-Hopf technique combined with the perturbation method is used to obtain an integral representation of the scattered field.<>
