Abstract :
Second generation current conveyors have, since their formulation by Sedra and Smith in 1970, proved to be functionally flexible and versatile, rapidly gaining acceptance as both theoretical and practical building blocks in a wide range of applications from immittance convertors through to active filter synthesis. That current conveyors may be used as voltage amplifiers is also well known, but has in the past only rarely been of practical significance due to the relatively poor performance of conveyor realisations compared to standard voltage operational amplifiers (VOA). However, with the introduction by Wilson in 1984 of a new conveyor implementation their performance can now challenge, and often exceed, standard VOAs in many applications
