Abstract :
The authors investigate the possibility of using an alternative configuration for the output stage of a microcell base station transmitter with a total transmitted power of about 1 W. Their alternative configuration, comprises a channel combiner followed by a single linear amplifier which replaces the usual configuration comprising individual channel amplifiers followed by resonant filters and a combining network
