Britain´s need for better engineering design: a university researcher´s viewpoint

It is being increasingly recognised that one of the many reasons why Britain has lagged behind Japan, Germany and several other industrially-based nations in post-war years has been the fact that its products, processes and systems have simply not been good enough. The author examines the UK´s need for better engineering design and gives three reasons for current inadequacies
