Abstract :
This article presents a methodology for detecting and correcting for variation in a loop temperature control of hot air sent to the blast furnace 1 Arcelor Mittal Tubarão. For the correction of problems techniques were used for failure analysis and different strategies for tuning controllers. To validate the results obtained, we used statistical tools. This paper describes the operation of the control loop of hot air temperature, allowing then to identify and eliminate the causes of the variations in the temperature, as well as improvements of the control loop.
