  • Abstract
    The 4-axis numerical control flame cutting machine for teaching is designed base on an idle lathe, the machine will be used for practical teaching in cutting complex intersecting curve of steel pipe.The mathematical model of intersection curve for two axes intersecting vertically is introduced in the paper,and the algorithm of track controlling is designed .The design of track controlling software for pipe intersection curve cutting by means of visual basic 6.0. The result of test shows that the algorithm of track controlling and the software of track controlling are correct.The result of research can provide the equipment for practice teaching, so students´s capacity of applying theory to reality can be trained effectively,and students can easily know how to develop numerical control equipment.The machine is designed based on the idle lathe, consequently, the cost of machine made is reduced much.
